Rent golf clubs in Scottsdale

A short flight, a few days of desert golf, and no reason to check a bag. Rent a set from a golfer in the Valley.

Built for the long weekend

Scottsdale is the default winter golf trip for half the country: fly in Thursday, play three or four rounds, fly home Sunday. For a trip that short, airline bag fees and the wait at oversize baggage are a poor trade.

Renting from a local golfer means walking off the plane and straight to the car. Sets on Tools of Golf are privately owned, and each listing shows the clubs, the pickup area and the price before you commit.

What to look for in a rental set

Desert golf is target golf. Fairways are generous enough, but anything wide of them is in rock and cactus, so a driver you can keep in play is worth more than extra yards. The ball also flies a little further in warm, dry air.

Match shaft flex and length to your own set, and check the listing for what's in the bag. Nearly every course here is played by cart, so bag weight doesn't matter the way it does on a walking trip.

When to go and where to pick up

Peak season runs from roughly January through April, when tee times and rental sets are both in demand — book early. Summer is very hot and much cheaper, with early-morning tee times the only sensible option.

Phoenix Sky Harbor is about twenty minutes from central Scottsdale. Choose a set with a pickup that suits where you're staying and book it for the full trip; owners keep their calendars up to date.

Pricing

What a rental costs

Owners set their own prices, so there's no single rate card. Every listing uses one of two models, and the price you see is the price you pay.

Day rate

One price per day

The simplest model: a flat daily price multiplied by the number of days you book.

Price bands

Cheaper the longer you keep them

Owners can set bands by length — for example one price for a weekend and a lower daily rate for a week. Each listing shows its own bands.

No extras

Nothing added at checkout

Pickup is local, so there's no shipping, and no booking fee on top of the listed price. A deposit, if the owner asks for one, is a hold on your card rather than a charge.

Rental protection

How renters and owners are covered

The same four rules apply to every rental on Tools of Golf.

You pay through the site

Rentals are paid by card at booking, through Stripe. The price on the listing is the price you pay, and you never need to hand cash to an owner.

A deposit is a hold, not a charge

If an owner asks for a deposit, the amount is shown on the listing and held on your card. It is released when the owner confirms the clubs are back.

Damage is capped at the deposit

If clubs come back damaged, the owner can claim the deposit — never more than the amount shown on the listing. Both sides should photograph the set at pickup and at return.

We review disputes

If the set is not as described, the handover does not happen, or you think a deposit was wrongly kept, open a dispute from your dashboard and our team will review it.

Questions about renting clubs

How does golf club rental in Scottsdale work on Tools of Golf?
Every set is listed by a local golfer. Open a listing, choose your start and end dates, and check out — payment is taken upfront. You collect the set from the pickup location on the listing and return it there at the end of the rental. There's no shipping or delivery.
How much does it cost to rent golf clubs in Scottsdale?
Owners set their own prices, either a single day rate or banded pricing that gets cheaper the longer you keep the set. The price on the listing is what you pay — there's no booking fee added at checkout. Some owners also place a refundable deposit hold on your card, which is shown on the listing.
Where do I pick the clubs up?
Pickup is always local and arranged with the owner — typically a golf course, driving range or a public spot near their home. The general pickup area is shown on the listing and on the map above; exact instructions are shared once you've booked.
What if my plans change?
Cancellation terms are set by the owner, so check the listing before you book and message the owner as early as you can if your dates move.
