Buying & selling
Create an account, connect your bank via Stripe, and hit "Sell" in the nav. Add photos, a description, condition, and price — your listing goes live immediately. You can also sync existing listings directly from eBay in your account settings.
Sellers ship directly to buyers. When a sale completes, you can purchase a discounted shipping label right from your dashboard — we pull live rates from major carriers via EasyPost. Enter your parcel dimensions on the listing and buyers will see accurate shipping costs at checkout.
Yes. Most listings support offers. Hit "Make an offer" on any product page, enter your amount, and the seller can accept, decline, or counter. Accepted offers are held for a short window so you can complete checkout.
We use five grades: New, Like New, Very Good, Good, and Acceptable. Check our Condition Guide for photos and detailed descriptions of what each grade means in practice.
Yes — you can create a bundle listing that includes multiple items under a single price. Each item in the bundle is listed individually so buyers know exactly what's included.
Rentals
Complete sets listed as rentable show a "Rent" tab alongside "Buy" on the product page. Select your start and end dates, review the pickup location, and check out. Payment is taken upfront and the seller receives funds after the rental period begins. All rentals are local pickup — no shipping involved.
Any seller with a connected Stripe account can mark a complete set as rentable. Set your day rate, minimum and maximum rental days, and a pickup location. You control which dates are available and can block off your calendar at any time.
Any complete set — modern, vintage, hickory, blades, cavity backs. The rental network is built around the idea that some rounds deserve specific gear. If you own a set of persimmons or a set of 962bs and want to share them, list them.
Document the condition of your clubs with photos before and after each rental. If damage occurs, you can open a dispute through the platform and we will help mediate. We recommend setting a rental price that accounts for normal wear, and photographing clubs thoroughly at handoff.
Cancellation policies are set by the seller. Check the listing for specific terms before booking. If you need to cancel, contact the seller directly through the messaging system — most sellers are reasonable.
Payments & fees
New sellers pay a 5% platform fee per transaction. That drops to 2% once you've sold $5,000 in lifetime sales, and to 1% at $15,000. Rental transactions are always 5% regardless of seller tier. Stripe's processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) applies to all transactions and is included in the total.
Connect your bank account via Stripe in your account settings. Funds are transferred to your Stripe account after a transaction completes. Stripe typically deposits to your bank within 2 business days depending on your payout schedule.
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported on compatible devices at checkout.
Yes. If an item arrives significantly not as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos. We review disputes and can issue refunds or mediate resolution between buyer and seller.
Trust & safety
All sellers complete Stripe identity verification before they can receive payments. Seller profiles show their rating, review count, and transaction history. You can also message any seller directly before purchasing.
Platform revenue is visible to every account holder. You can see exactly what Tools of Golf earns. Once profitable, a portion of platform revenue is shared back with the community. Read more on the Transparency page.
Either party can open a dispute from their transaction history. We review the evidence from both sides — photos, messages, tracking — and mediate a resolution. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
All payments are processed by Stripe — we never store card details on our servers. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of payment security certification available.
