Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use Tools of Golf. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Tools of Golf is currently invite-only. Access may be revoked at any time if you violate these terms or engage in conduct that harms the community.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your login credentials with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may only create one account. Duplicate accounts are not permitted and may result in all associated accounts being suspended.

Tools of Golf is a peer-to-peer marketplace. Transactions occur directly between buyers and sellers. By listing an item, you represent that:

• You own the item and have the right to sell it
• The item is accurately described — condition, photos, and specifications must reflect reality
• The item is legal to sell in your jurisdiction and the buyer's jurisdiction
• You will ship the item within 3 business days of a completed sale and provide a valid tracking number
• You will not cancel a confirmed sale without a legitimate reason

Listing items on Tools of Golf is free. A platform fee is charged on completed sales, based on your seller tier:

• Standard — 4% platform fee (available on sign-up)
• Pro — 2% platform fee (unlocked at $5,000 lifetime sales)
• SuperPro — 0% platform fee (unlocked at $15,000 lifetime sales)
• All tiers are subject to Stripe's payment processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
• Fees are deducted automatically at the time of payment. You will receive the remainder directly to your connected bank account.

All payments are processed by Stripe. To sell on the platform, you must connect a bank account via Stripe Connect and complete Stripe's identity verification.

Funds from a completed sale are held by Stripe until delivery is confirmed, then released to your bank account. Payout timing is subject to Stripe's standard payout schedule.

We do not store your card details or bank account numbers. All payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe.

Every purchase on Tools of Golf is covered by our buyer protection guarantee. If your item:

• Does not arrive within a reasonable timeframe after the seller provides tracking
• Arrives significantly not as described
• Is the wrong item
• Arrives damaged in a way not disclosed by the seller

You may open a dispute within 7 days of the delivery date (or expected delivery date if no tracking is provided). We will review the dispute and, where warranted, issue a full refund.

To be eligible for buyer protection, you must: pay through the platform (not outside it), open a dispute within the 7-day window, and provide reasonable evidence when requested.

Buyer protection does not cover change-of-mind returns, items accurately described as damaged or for-parts, or disputes opened outside the 7-day window.

The following are not permitted on Tools of Golf:

• Listing counterfeit, stolen, or illegal items
• Misrepresenting the condition, authenticity, or specifications of an item
• Transacting outside the platform to avoid fees ("fee avoidance")
• Harassment, threats, or abusive communication with other users
• Creating fake accounts, fake reviews, or manipulating platform metrics
• Using the platform to launder money or engage in payment fraud
• Listing items you do not own or do not intend to ship
• Any activity that violates applicable law

We reserve the right to remove listings, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who violate these terms. We monitor all transactions for fraud and abuse.

Serious violations — including fraud, counterfeit goods, or harassment — will result in immediate permanent account removal and may be reported to law enforcement.

If your account is suspended and you believe it was in error, you can appeal by contacting admin@toolsof.golf.

You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload to the platform. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use it to operate the marketplace.

The Tools of Golf name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. You may not use them without our written permission.

Tools of Golf is a marketplace — we facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers but are not a party to those transactions. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed.

The platform is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, about the availability, reliability, or fitness of the platform for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Disputes between buyers and sellers should be raised through our dispute resolution system in your dashboard. We will review all disputes and make a binding determination within 48 hours.

By using the platform, both parties agree to accept our dispute resolution decisions as final for transactions under $500. For larger disputes, either party may escalate to their card issuer or seek legal remedy.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal action arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should delete your account.
