Golf club rental for Bandon Dunes
Bandon is a long way from anywhere. Fly in with a carry-on and pick up a full set from a golfer on the Oregon coast.
A long way to carry a golf bag
Bandon is remote on purpose. Most trips involve a connection into North Bend, or a drive of several hours from Eugene or Portland, and a travel case of clubs is the least convenient thing you can bring on either. A set waiting for you in Oregon means a carry-on, a smaller car and nothing for an airline to lose.
Sets on Tools of Golf are owned by golfers, not a resort fleet. You see the exact clubs — make, model, shafts, condition — on the listing before you book, and you collect them from the owner at the pickup spot shown.
What to look for in a rental set
Bandon is links golf on fescue, in wind. A set you can flight down and control matters more than distance, and you'll want wedges you're comfortable with off tight turf. Match shaft flex and length to your own clubs where you can.
The resort is walking only, and thirty-six holes a day is normal. A light carry or stand bag makes a real difference, whether you're carrying it yourself or handing it to a caddie. Check the listing for what's included and message the owner with any questions on specs.
Timing your rental
Resort tee times book out a long way in advance, so most people know their dates months ahead. Book clubs for the full length of the trip, including travel days either side if the pickup is on your route in. Owners block out dates their set isn't available, so the calendar on each listing is accurate.
Rentals are local pickup only. Check the pickup area on the listing against your route: a set in Coos Bay or North Bend is on the way from the airport; one in Eugene suits a drive in from the Willamette Valley.

Pricing
What a rental costs
Owners set their own prices, so there's no single rate card. Every listing uses one of two models, and the price you see is the price you pay.
Day rate
One price per day
The simplest model: a flat daily price multiplied by the number of days you book.
Price bands
Cheaper the longer you keep them
Owners can set bands by length — for example one price for a weekend and a lower daily rate for a week. Each listing shows its own bands.
No extras
Nothing added at checkout
Pickup is local, so there's no shipping, and no booking fee on top of the listed price. A deposit, if the owner asks for one, is a hold on your card rather than a charge.
Rental protection
How renters and owners are covered
The same four rules apply to every rental on Tools of Golf.
You pay through the site
Rentals are paid by card at booking, through Stripe. The price on the listing is the price you pay, and you never need to hand cash to an owner.
A deposit is a hold, not a charge
If an owner asks for a deposit, the amount is shown on the listing and held on your card. It is released when the owner confirms the clubs are back.
Damage is capped at the deposit
If clubs come back damaged, the owner can claim the deposit — never more than the amount shown on the listing. Both sides should photograph the set at pickup and at return.
We review disputes
If the set is not as described, the handover does not happen, or you think a deposit was wrongly kept, open a dispute from your dashboard and our team will review it.
