MCP Server

Give your AI a
golf shop assistant.

Tools of Golf runs a public Model Context Protocol server. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client and it can search listings, price a rental, estimate a trade-in, and look up club specs — live, on real marketplace data.

Overview

MCP is the open standard AI assistants use to call live tools instead of guessing from training data. Our server exposes Tools of Golf's marketplace, rental, trade-in and equipment-spec data as a set of read-only tools any MCP client can call.

Any other MCP client

Windsurf, VS Code (Copilot), Cline, Zed, and most other clients take the same url-only config shape — no command needed since this is a remote HTTP server, not a local process.

All 10 tools are read-only — buying, renting, listing, and trading in still happen on the site, and every result links back to the right page. Prices are USD.

FAQ

Do I need an API key?

No. The MCP server is public and read-only, so there's nothing to authenticate.

Can it buy, list, or trade in clubs for me?

Not directly — every tool is read-only. Searches, quotes, and estimates all return a URL on toolsof.golf to finish the action.

I need write access (create/update listings) instead.

That's the REST API, not MCP — see Developers / API for an API-key-authenticated way to sync your own listings.
